Avi Dahan
FOUNDER
Aviel "Avi" Dahan is the founder and managing attorney of Dahan Law Group, PC, a business and entertainment law firm based in Beverly Hills, California. Avi specializes in transactional matters, contract negotiation, intellectual property, and business law, with a focus on the entertainment and media industries. He represents a diverse range of clients, including recording artists, producers, songwriters, actors, social media influencers, entrepreneurs, record labels, and management companies. Known for his strategic, business-focused approach, Avi combines deep legal expertise with a nuanced understanding of the entertainment industry’s commercial landscape.
Before founding Dahan Law Group, Avi practiced at Boyarski Fritz LLP in Beverly Hills, where he represented high-profile recording artists, producers, songwriters, celebrities, influencers, and cutting-edge media companies. He negotiated complex contracts and provided strategic business counsel on a wide range of entertainment and media transactions. Prior to that, he worked at Johnson & Johnson, LLP, where he handled entertainment litigation involving copyright infringement, defamation, misappropriation, and breach of contract claims on behalf of celebrity recording artists, songwriters, producers, filmmakers, and actors.
During law school, Avi gained valuable experience in music law at Rothenberg P.C. and later at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in the Entertainment, Technology, and Advertising group, where he assisted in drafting and negotiating film and TV agreements.
Before becoming a lawyer, Avi worked at William Morris Endeavor, Live Nation, and Columbia Records, gaining firsthand knowledge of the business side of entertainment. This foundation enhances his ability to provide practical, industry-informed legal advice.
In addition to his legal practice, Avi is the founder of Funkshway, an independent record label distributed through Warner Music/ADA. Under his leadership, Funkshway has achieved chart-topping, global success. His experience running a successful label gives him valuable insight into the challenges his clients face, allowing him to offer strategic, real-world guidance alongside legal solutions.
Avi earned his J.D. from USC Gould School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of his class and earning membership in the Order of the Coif. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Cal State University of Northridge, where he graduated with honors.
Avi is a member of the California State Bar and is known for his thoughtful, business-minded approach to legal representation. He currently resides in Beverly Hills, California.

Cara Adams
COUNSEL
Cara Adams is a music and entertainment attorney with deep expertise at the intersection of music, media, and technology. She previously served as in-house counsel at Google, where she served as both commercial and product counsel supporting global licensing and product initiatives for YouTube Music. In this role, Cara regularly worked with music rights holders and key industry partners on complex matters surrounding AI, music charting, data sharing, and public policy, all while providing strategic legal guidance to internal teams across product, artist relations, label relations, and marketing.
Before joining YouTube / Google, Cara served as Music Counsel at Warner Bros. Entertainment. There, she drafted, negotiated, and advised on a wide range of music-related agreements supporting the studio’s iconic film and television productions and associated soundtracks. Additionally, she provided legal support to the studio’s record label, WaterTower Music.
Prior to that, Cara began her legal career at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in Los Angeles representing major corporate clients in commercial litigation and employment matters.
Cara holds a J.D. from USC Gould School of Law, where she is published in the Entertainment Law Journal entitled, Spotlight, and where she was a quarterfinalist in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic. She graduated with honors from New York University majoring in Media, Culture, and Communication with a minor in Entertainment Business.
While living in New York City and prior to attending law school, Cara interned for Downtown Music Publishing, Island Def Jam, and EMI Music, bringing a well-rounded corporate perspective to her legal practice. A creative at heart, she is ultimately passionate about working with artists and entrepreneurs to help further their projects in ways that are both legally sound and fulfilling.
Cara also cares deeply about her pro bono practice, most recently representing student survivors of sexual violence in their Title IX campus proceedings with social justice organization, Equal Rights Advocates (ERA).
When Cara is not practicing law, she enjoys Pilates, voice acting, ballet, LA sports, spending time with family and friends, and taking her dogs, Nessie and Joey, to the park. She also proudly serves on the Young Alumni Council for her alma mater, Marlborough School, and is a member of Women in Music LA.
She is admitted to practice in California.
